That's all

Believe it or not, most lakes here still have plenty of ice for snowmobile travel, but I'm headed south for a week and the ice will surely be toast by the time I'm able to get out again. It's always a bit sad to see winter go away, but I am looking forward to getting the boat in the water. Thanks to all who came up, this season was incredible and it was great getting to meet everyone! Bring on summer fishing! I have it on goof authority that there are grayling in the creeks already!

Not done yet! We are nearing the end of the aurora viewing season , but the last few shows have been nothing short of amazing. The fish are FIRED up as well with the burbot well into their annual spawn. Gonna be sad to see this go, but they'll be back at summers end!

Biggest one of the year the other night! Fun evening with Ioan and son Robert up from Alberta. Managed to tie into this absolute tank of a Burbot shortly after midnight. After a few quick pictures she was safely back down the hole to lay her eggs. Amazing fish that we were lucky to get a few minutes with. Going to be sad to see this go! We're just getting into the swing of icefishing here!

I don't know what it is about the last few weeks but man have we been getting into some good northern lights shows!. These were some of the brightest aurora I have ever seen with a slight shadow cast by them! Plenty of light to see even on a moonless night.

We have about 3 weeks left in the season so you'd best make your way up here asap! Still lots room most nights through to mid April. Our mobile setup allows us to travel in the direction of the clearest skies to maximize your chances of seeing this incredible northern phenomenon!

Great day chasing fat Arctic Char with some great folks visiting from down south! Fast action and lots of fish up the hole, and great weather to boot. French fries and elk smokies for lunch, hard to beat!

Ice is in great shape and we are looking like we'll easily make it to April 20th, my self imposed last day of guiding on ice. Shoot me a message and we will get you out there!

Blast from the past! Whacking big lake trout on Big Digglers somewhere in the Northwest Territories with , back in about 2017. I was lucky to guide Colby twice before getting to have him come on the guide team a few years later. A knowledgeable angler and a great presence in camp! Thanks for sending me this! Good memories👌

On the way home the other night after a rare no-show from the lights on a perfectly clear night, when they decided to come out while we were halfway back to town! Absolutely amazing show with the sky moving back and forth so quickly! Some happy people headed back south 😂 it's so great to share this experience with people who come up all this way!

We are right in the thick of the Aurora season here in the beautiful Yukon! Weather has been better than expected and the lights have been coming out literally every single night.

We use Nav Canada weather that is much more accurate and reliable than any other source, and our mobile setup allows us to move in the direction of the clearest skies, rather than being forced to head to a fixed base regardless of weather conditions. Because of this we enjoy extremely high success rates when it comes to Northern Lights viewing.

What a day!!

A couple of days before Christmas I had a couple of repeat clients bring with a few newcomers, they were just looking for a quick fish to do as a family activity over the holidays. An hour after we got the tent set up a giant red blob showed up on the Livescope and smacked one of the girls lures. After the fish took a few big runs and a lot of screaming inside the tent we managed to get this big laker up the hole! Was an awesome day with great people! A perfect Christmas present for a fishing guide 😂

Calling all flyfishers who have Grayling on the radar!!

I am running ONE five-day trip deep in the Yukon wilderness in July of 2025. I'm looking for two passionate flyfishers who are looking for a true backcountry adventure! This river is difficult to access, but has the best Arctic Grayling fishing I have ever seen or heard of!

I'll only be able to take people with good balance and good knees, who are able to spend the night sleeping on the ground in a tent, who are able to help with some river navigation and who can keep a positive attitude. The Grayling are incredibly plentiful, Pike and Lake Trout are found in the nearby lakes. This is a beautiful part of the Yukon and this trip is sure to be a once in a lifetime experience! Mega Char going back 👌👌

Glad to have cracked the code on some of the biggest and strongest Arctic Char found south of the Arctic Circle. To keep these giants growing and plentiful, we are 100% catch and release on trophy Char lakes. However, for those who want a meal of them, I do offer trips on lakes that have an abundant population of smaller fish. On these lakes you are welcome to take from two to five fish back with you to cook up or smoke. They taste as good as they look! Give me a call to line up your day on the ice. 867 689 0273

Haven't posted in a while!! Not due to lack of being out, just lack of time! Safe ice is here and the fish are FIRED up. Lots of great action over the last month ranging from kokanee to big lakers. Not only that but the Northern Lights have been pretty reliable when you can catch them on a clear night!! I am jam packed with bookings until years end, but feel free to reach out and see if I can squeeze you in! More posts coming soon!

Water is cold cold cold and the big ones are taking a bit more persuasion but are no less on!! We are in the final few weeks of open water fishing, let's get you out there before it all locks up for the winter!

Details

I've been lacking on posting, but not due to a lack of guiding! Just finished up a long stretch of going out every day, for pretty much every species swimming in the Yukon! Some incredible days out there with some great people. I truly appreciate everyone who has taken a chance booking with me and helped make this dream a reality.

I will be away from service from 14-29th of September, feel free to shoot me a text or an email if you'd like to get on the list if I should happen to be back early, or if you want to go in October!
