Ever since the outbreak of covid-19 pandemic, we have been getting complaints from non-Chinese clients about how badly those Chinese airlines (China Eastern, China Southern, Air China, and etc.) in processing refunds and reschedulings.

We understand that their efficiency and quality in both online and offline services have been controversial, but if you are a budget-minded traveler, especially your travel involves an itinerary to/from China, Chinese airlines are undoubtedly recommended.
•
Keep one important point in mind, when you choose those airlines, try not to book directly with them, try to go with an experienced and reliable travel agency, maybe a Chinese agency, who has had a good rapport with those airlines, making sure you have a mediator to rely on when flight cancellations and changes occur.

Travellers who are out-of-pocket for airfares on cancelled flights amid the coronavirus pandemic want refunds. Airlines, forced to slash capacity and in many cases suspend all operations for a global health emergency that is beyond their control, and taking every step to conserve cash, are offering future travel credits and vouchers.
