Lobster season opened yesterday. The fishers were readying their traps at Ingonish Harbour which is only 15 min north of The Maven Gypsy B&B and Cottages. Come for the lobster & stay for the night in one of our cottages.cook yr fresh caught lobster at our place. All utensils provided.

Snowshoeing and cross côuntry skiing and telemark at South Ridge Ski Trails in Dingwall. The hiking on the Middlehead trail and the Clyburn Trail in the Highlands Nâtional Park is good! While the planters are not doing as well as in past summers, the marigolds i planted from seed under our Maven Gypsy B and be and Cottages are majestic! I love how their color compliments the sign- intentional of course. But beautiful none the less!

Breakfast in a balmy breeze. Dine al fresco on our front deck while listening to the ocean & the birds. Cottagers can also enjoy this. While included in the cost of a room in the B&B the charge for clients in the Cottages is only $15 pp for a full farmhouse meal.

The Quilt Room has new quilt! It is a headboard covered with a quilted pad made by a local quilter. The frame is homemade. It’s color a matter of chance. But the effect is bright and cheerful.

We have a new promotion at The Maven Gypsy B and B and Cottages for the opening of the Maritime Bubble. It is called « Your Stuff or Our Stuff ». For $100.00 per night plus HST you can rent one of Cottage 1,3 or 4 with queen bed, bathroom with shower, kitchenette fully equipped for self catering. Just bring your sheets, pillows and blankets and towels. We furnish the rest - TP, dish soap, tea towels, dishcloths... at that price you can stay for two or more nights. Cottage 2 sleeps three people - the third person is $20 per night extra.

The « Our Stuff » promotion is when you simply make the reservation and show up! The Cottage is ready.
