Christmas Buoy Tree Lighting, West Pubnico 2024
Last night, the Dennis Point Wharf lit up with holiday magic as we celebrated the annual Christmas Buoy Tree Lighting Ceremony! ✨🎄 The twinkling lights, the salty ocean air, and the jingle of surprise—thanks to an unforgettable Santa flash mob—made it a night to remember! 🎅💃
Families gathered, laughter echoed, and the spirit of the season filled every heart. Thank you to everyone who came out to make this beloved tradition so special. 🌊❤️ Who else is feeling the festive cheer after last night?

October 1st - Treaty Day, Mi'kmaw History Month
October 1 is Treaty Day—a day to celebrate the significance of the treaty relationship and to recognize the important contributions of the Mi’kmaq. It also marks the beginning of Mi’kmaw History Month, a time for all Nova Scotians to learn about and celebrate Mi’kmaq culture, heritage, and language.
We want to celebrate and honour our local community of Wasoqopa'q First Nation in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq. Their history, culture, and contributions continue to enrich our region. 👏
We want to thank Nova Scotia Indigenous Tourism Enterprise Network for this wonderful video, in a series called "Welcome to Mi'kma'ki". 🌿🍁
