Another awesome crew joined us on board today on our motorised canoe safari.

Husking coconuts, visiting blue-tailed skinks, island hopping, snorkelling and turtle spotting… we had a great Cocosday.

There’s always a silver lining.

A tropical low has blown out many of the fishing options (not all of them 😉).

Finding this White Tern still on her egg was pretty special. 💓 These birds don’t build a nest, they just lay their egg on a branch. When the chick hatches it will hold on with its wings until strong enough to fly.

The Saunders Tern is tiny! There are 6-8 of them in this photo.

The Cocos Islands is the only Australian state or territory where you can see this bird.

It was a pleasure to take these avid birdwatchers on a motorised canoe safari to find their bird!

2024 is going to be a big year for us and I’m so excited about what’s ahead.

We now offer motorised canoe safaris, possibly the greatest way to get around the south of the atoll.

And I’m going to learn how to fly fish…

A unique opportunity to live and work on a tropical island.

We are looking for an adventurous person or couple with a great work ethic to join our team running marine adventure tours and cleaning accommodation on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

- Minimum of 35 hrs per week on casual award rates (up to 76 hours for a couple depending on skills, experience and qualifications)
- Main duties will include marine tour operations and accommodation/commercial cleaning (additional work opportunities include fishing/snorkelling tours, car/boat maintenance, administration)
- On the job training provided
- Accommodation option available
- Commencing in January 2024

The south end of the atoll is an amazing place to explore. Shallow waters cover the whitest sand.

Definitely a place to add to the bucket list.

It’s always great having good crew on board who enjoy the ocean as much as I do.
