Throughout your cruise itinerary, our vessel, MV. VOYAGER 🚢 collects plastic from the ocean and recycles it. Designed to recover up to 5 tons of plastic per day, while cruising, MV. Voyager funnels floating waste into a boom system, processes it on board and recycles it in port.

A UK supermarket has taken the steps to recycle ocean bound plastic for their fish products.
Up to 90% of the plastic packaging that reaches the ocean enters from coastlines in regions such as South East Asia, so the initiative will recycle plastic found near coastlines and waterways so it doesn’t make its way into the sea.

The supermarket says the initiative will initially prevent more than 60 tonnes of plastic from being introduced to the ocean per year – the equivalent of 2.5 million plastic water bottle

Our nets are designed to minimize impact on marine life. Our Plastic Ocean Removal Boom nets are installed to stay at the surface of the water where plastic usually floats. Our policy is to only let out the booms while we’re out in vast open waters which usually means there is rarely any fish at the surface. If by any chance we catch something whilst cruising then depending on the size, we have different solutions.

For bigger fish and mammals such as dolphins, we have radars onboard which can sense marine life the size of dolphins etc. In the case that we sense large marine life, we will steer out of their path and continue cruising https://www.pemco-group.com/faq
