As this season comes to a close, it’s clear just how lucky we’ve all been to share something so special. Every volunteer, every long-term staff member has brought such kindness, energy, and dedication that saying goodbye feels almost impossible. The bonds we’ve created and the memories we’ve made have turned these months into something unforgettable.
To everyone at our chalet, thank you for making this journey extraordinary. You’ve shown me the true meaning of teamwork and friendship, and I am endlessly grateful for each laugh, each adventure, and each late-night conversation we’ve shared. It’s hard leaving, but that’s how I know how lucky I am to have been a part of it all.
💜 With love and a few tears,

Autumn Season 2024

We’ve been celebrating so many different autumn traditions and festivals from around the world at Our Chalet the past few weeks! After Diwali and before Dia de los Muertos, we celebrated Halloween. Our volunteers had a go at apple bobbing, carved pumpkins, and watched a spooky movie. 🎃 🕯️
Sharing our celebrations is a great way to learn about different cultures from around the world and how many of us welcome the shorter days and longer nights with traditions featuring lights. 🌍
Wishing everyone a bright and joyful Diwali filled with light, love, and happiness! May this festival bring peace and prosperity to all who celebrate. ✨🪔 #happydiwali #ourchalet
Heartfelt thanks to Jessica, Ann, and Elaine from International Friendship Week 2024 for the lovely postcards and generous donations from our Amazon Wishlist!

Kayaking is one of our most popular programme activities (all year round!). It’s not just about learning kayaking technique; from discovering the beautiful glacier-fed Lake Brienz to facing fears to team games like the one in this video, there’s so much to learn on the water!
Happy Birthday Kusafiri! 🎂🎉
