How nature can be a Therapist?
Nature Therapy helps to reconnect with the evolutionary roots and revive the instinct to engage with and cherish the natural world. It has been practiced in many indigenous cultures for centuries.
By Being Outside Intentionally we can come back to the ancestral remembrance & allow nature to act as a therapist. At all seasons!
To my point of view, these are 3 key ways how Nature Acts as a Therapist:
🌿PRESENCE – stunning views, the feeling of awe, different kind of sounds bring you to a present moment naturally. In this situation, past and future dissolves and there is a possibility to create new neuro-pathways in the brain.
🌿LISTENING- expressing thyself freely in a trustful environment is among key criteria of a therapy. Nature is profoundly non-judgemental. You can express yourself freely here and feel 100% understood. Shouting, whispering, journaling, actually talking or just keeping silent.
🌿MOVING- when you move the body, your whole system moves. It allows to become more aware about body sensations: the pain, joy, sorrow, confidence. In a physical and emotional dimension. In this context to move is not about performing or achieving but about the feeling of being alive, sensing self and the world
Multiple research proves that when human beings spent time outside in an intentional way ( observing, connecting, engaging senses) it brings a number of benefits to their health:
🌷Production of neurotransmitters: dopamine, endorphins, bonding hormone oxytocin
🌷Reduces stress, promotes healing & regeneration through activation of Rest & Digest nervous system
🌷Reduces symptoms of depression & anxiety by increasing vitamin D levels

WHERE I COME FROM 🌲🌲🌲
The more I grow old, the more I feel childish. More I appreciate my origins, my roots.🥕🥔🍅🍄🟫🧅🧄🌲
My parents, grand parents and great grandparents grew up on 50-100m near the forest. They were working on the land. For weather forecast they were not looking on TV or internet, they were looking to the sky, they were seeding and harvesting according the moon cycle.

They were observing animal and plant behaviour to predict the summer or winter.
They were growing vegetables in their own garden for entire family, for the whole year.🍅🥔🥕
They were going to the forest, not for hunting animals,but to observe the trees, which tree is ill and needs support, they were foraging berries and mushrooms for food first and then for pleasure.🍄🟫🍄🟫🍄🟫🌲🌲
My grandmother knows a number of medicinal plants and since my childhood was preparing remedies for my hair out of them.🌿🌿🌿🌿 As well as teas and tinctures for cough,muscular pain,etc...
She is now 91 and quite ill. But when 2 days ago,I came back with 200 boletus from the FORest,her eyes shafted shining again. She could not believe it, this never happened before in the entire family history. She was preparing those boletus for drying with such enthusiasm that it made me even sad...
I feel a support by my Ancestors in whatever I am creating, wherever I am walking. No matter how many times I fall down, I feel they are supporting my path.
