Hello
My name is Caramel and Hazel told me, I should be in touch with you. Hazel was my bestie, you see, and we knew each other right from when Ma found us, back in Mauritius. Now my bestie is gone and we must continue her work.
There are many brothers and sisters out there, needing help. So we planned some wonderful projects for next year and will certainly keep you updated.
This page will change name as soon as Ma remembers the password and be called Hazel Forever. I'll be the new staff member and in that capacity, I cordially thank you for your support and wish you all the best for 2025!

Dear friends
It is with an immensely heavy heart to let you know that our beloved Hazel has crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday at 10.30am, with us being there until her last heartbeat.
The cancer had spread to her lungs and there was simply no way to keep her with us, even though we all would have liked to so very much.
We have no words to express our grief as well as our gratitude. Hazel will be sorely missed by us all.
I order to honour this unique canine personality, we have decided to keep selling the book and using the generated funds in Hazel's memory. So stay tuned for more information. Here a few pictures from Hazel's life. Rest in peace, our wonderful girl, you were one of a kind and we love you forever.

Dear friends,
This is my last post. Mum and dad are waiting for the vet. I cannot breathe anymore and it's not nice. So it will be a great relief really, to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I would rather stay a bit though, as it's such a beautiful day and I would love to go picking mushrooms one more time with my wonderful dad.
But then, I had a good life, with so much love from all of you.
One last thing: please don't cry. Go out there and keep helping my poor brothers and sisters!
You will find a little spark of me in every single one of them.

Dear friends
Today I woke up with a bit of a breathing problem. Mum says, she will take me for a slow walk, so I can get some fresh air.
Caramel stays by my side all the time now. The best friends are those who stay close in times of trouble.

Dear friends
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this: the cancer has returned and is so severe, that a simple surgery cannot save our precious and oh so special canine friend.
We have decided to keep Hazel's life with us as good as possible, allowing her to live her remaining time to the fullest, until the pain outweighs the pleasure.

We will certainly continue our work for the strays of Mauritius and keep selling the book about our sassy, witty, beautiful and amazing Hazel. You can order it here to read and enjoy, knowing that with each copy sold, you make life better, for cats and dogs in Mauritius.

We keep you updated. Send good vibes, we sure need some now.
