Did you know there are 28 mountain peaks 🏔️ over 4,000m in the Zermatt area including the world-famous Matterhorn?

Here is a selection of the most popular climbs in the area:

1. Castor and Pollux – the twin 4,000m summits lying in the chain of peaks linking Breithorn with the Monte Rosa Massif.

This is where we got the inspiration to build and name our chalets ✨Castor, Pollux, and Gemini!

2. Ascent of the Breithorn - For an introduction to mountaineering and a chance to summit a 4000m peak.

3. Ascent of the Matterhorn - One of the most difficult classic climbs in the Alps.

You need to be mountain-fit and experienced in rock climbing (level 4), both with and without crampons.

4. The Monte Rosa massif - The highest mountain in the Swiss Alps.

Flanked by glaciers 🧊 , it has ten peaks higher than 4,000m.

We source data from thirty websites and weather stations, and the (Swiss Avalanche Research Institute) measuring stations.
