Probably Villa O'higgins is the most isolated continental resort in Chile, because it is encased at the end of the Austral Road and separated from the rest of Route 7 by a half-hour navigation. Tortel is a commune of Chile located in the Province of Capitán Prat, that forms part of the Region of Aysén of General Carlos Ibáñez of the Field. Its mayor is Bernardo López Sierra.
