Hi everyone, I am Dorthe, the founder of DEFY Patagonia and I want to share with you some interesting news.
There haven’t been any Scandinavian travellers through DEFY since February 2020. So, what have we been up to these past two years?
We have been working on a new proposal for the intrepid traveller that seeks out nature adventures without the crowd. Through government funded projects DEFY has been able to build a food truck that goes with us to remote places and provide a solid wilderness base camp when exploring Patagonia on daily adventures off the beaten path. And we have invested in equipment that can provide us with dehydrated local produced food when we go deep into the wilderness on multi-day adventures. Have a look at our new website to get to know this new wilderness base camp concept www.defypatagonia.com
But most excitingly is my certification as a Nature and Forest Therapy guide through the American school ANFT (www.anft.earth). Since March 2021 I have been guiding deep nature connections in and around Puerto Natales and I am ready to offer these experiences to visitors from near and far. On a slow and paused walk guests are invited to interact respectfully with the natural surroundings through their senses, even those senses we possess beyond the five. This is a great way to create compassion and connection with the Patagonian Nature, create new nature relations while restoring our general relationship to nature, to ourselves and to people around us. A new wellness experience with a deep personal and global health impact.
This new initiative we have named Bosque Somos, Forest We Are, and you can read more about it on www.bosquesomos.cl. Please don’t hesitate to ask how to incorporate nature connections to your Patagonia Trip.
Bosque Somos forms part of DEFY Patagonia and you can follow us on IG as @bosque_somos.
