Our Story
Created in 2013 by Didier De Greef an experienced guide who traveled around the world, and his wife, Locaventuras offer unconventional tours to discover the desert of Atacama, the North Chile, Central Chile and South Lipez in Bolivia.
The concept of adventure and alternative tourism proposed by Locaventuras is best represented through the wide range of tailor-made and private tours offered; from cycling in the Garganta del Diablo, hiking el Ojos del Salado - the highest active volcano in the world, to enjoying a night in the desert, the client is given an unforgettable experience.
All tours, even the most classical ones such as the Moon Valley, have been elaborated to avoid mass tourism, spend more time on the different sites and offer a unforgettable experience to our clients.
When operating tours at more than 2400 m in extreme conditions, safety comes first! We use high-end 4x4 to operate our tours and bring all our emergency equipment such as radio, satellite phones, oxygen, etc. Besides, our guides are experienced and fully trained in first aid. So, be sure you will be in good hands.
