Valley of Pirque (one of the most prestigious areas of the Alto Maipo Valley) and the majestic Andes Mountains are the soul of each of the wines of -
The vineyards are located south of Maipo River, between 550 and 660 meters above sea level, in the northern foothills of the Andes.

An example is the renowned colored staircase that goes up from Calle Urriola to Cerro Concepción. On the front of its steps, the lyrics of the song "Latinoamérica" (2010), by the Puerto Rican band Calle 13, appear written in black on a colored background.

Santiago Cable Car is located in the Parque Metropolitano de Santiago (better known as Cerro San Cristóbal), the largest green lung in Santiago and the fourth largest urban park in the world.
The cable car is one of the must-see attractions for all tourists as it offers a privileged panoramic view of the city from above. It has 3 stations plus a funicular that goes from Bellavista to Estación Cumbre.

El Plomo hot springs is a geosite located in Yeso Valley at 2900 masl, close to Santiago and very close to Piuquenes, one of the border crossings that Chile has with Argentina.
They are rustic and natural, without human intervention. The hot springs come from San José volcano and are rich in minerals, with temperatures that can reach 37°C / 98 °F.
Definitely a gift for the mind, body and soul, thanks to the bounty of the Andes Mountains.

El Valle de la Engorda is a place with an incredible landscape. It is located at the end of El Cajón del Maipo, at the foot of San José Volcano. There are usually very few visitors, which gives it an additional character of isolation for those who wish to disconnect from the world.

Viña Aquitania offers the opportunity to its visitors to learn closely about the complete process of wine production, where the technology with artisan processes is mixed.

The visit begins at the winery's viewpoint, with a panoramic sight of the entire property. Downstairs, you can appreciate the vineyards and their status depending on the season's year.

Our passengers from California having a beautiful day at el "Embalse El Yeso", a dam with an intense blue color, which has become one of the main attractions of Cajón del Maipo. Sometimes you have the possibility to spot condors and peucos flying through the blue skies suspended above the reserve.

"El Embalse" is located at 2,500 m.a.s.l. and was inaugurated in 1964. Its importance lies in the fact that it is the source of drinking water for the inhabitants of the Metropolitan Region of Santiago, coming from the Yeso River, a source of the Maipo River.

According to the Protected Borders Plan, Chile is currently in Alert Phase 1, which does not include travel restrictions. However, there are some measures to be considered.
From Saturday, June 4th, the vaccine standardization in Chile to get the “Pase de Movilidad” or Mobility Pass (which allows entry to restaurants, theaters, buses, among others) will take up to 48 working hours.
How to get it? Fill in the “Travel Affidavit” form online up to 48 hours before boarding, providing contact information and health and travel records. This form will display a QR code as a means of verification. It is available at www.c19.cl - Once the request has been submitted, it will be approved or rejected within a maximum period of 48 business hours. If no response is received within that period, a Temporary Mobility Pass will be issued for 96 hours.

After about an hour of travel from the center of Santiago, we make our first stop in a restaurant at El Cajón del Maipo area, in order to stretch our legs, have breakfast (something optional but an excellent alternative if you are not used to getting up too early) and to pick-up both our lunch and trail mix (everything of excellent quality by the way).
Now everything is ready to continue with a fantastic day of adventure, nature and surprises.
