Description : Mount Cameroon Tour
1 day rainforest tour (intermediate Hut ): This hike goes up through the rainforest to Hut 1 and end at intermediate hut through the Guinness track. (6.2 km or each way).
2 days summit tour through the Guinness track (up and back on the same track): On the first day you will make Hut 2 (7.3 km or 4.5 miles). The next morning you will attempt the summit (about 11.7 km or 7.2 miles from the trailhead), returning to Hut 2 to collect your things and head back down to Buea.
3 days Summit tour partial-loop: This hike takes you through the Guinness track to the summit around the mountain (seeing craters and lava flows) down to a village called Bokwango. You will camp at Hut 2 on your first night. The summit attempt will be the next morning. From there you will head down to Camp 2 at Mann Springs (about 12.1 km or 7.5 miles from the summit). Leaving early on day three you will hike through lava flows to the rainforest until you reach Bokwango (about 14 km or 8.7 miles).
4 days tour summit tour through the savannah: through the craters to a village called Bakingili
5 days tour through the rainforest: up the Guinness track to the summit down to the craters. This tour drops down the north side of the mountain giving trekkers the opportunity to see Elephants and other wildlife. The tour concludes near Seme Beach just up the coast from Limbe. Total trip length about 50 km or 31 miles.
Safety rules for hiking tours on Mount Cameroon
Outfit recommended for use by tourists:
The temperature at certain places, especially at altitude above 2800m, can be low (0-8 degrees). Take along warm clothes!
Use appropriate hiking shoes.
First Aid.
It is probable that rain falls; be equipped with a raincoat during the raining season.
Camping equipment:
We are renting camping equipment that is;
– Camping ten =6000frs per person per day.
– Sleeping Bag =3000frs per person per day.
– Sleeping Mat =3000frs per person per day.
Pricing
From 60.000 frs per person per day, but international volunteers working in Cameroon, larger groups above 6 person or Cameroonian should contact us.
NB pricing will include camping equipment only, if you want us to arrange for your water and food inform us.

Two Days Tour To The Summit of Mt Cameroon
Tour Sightseeing:

-TWO DAYS TOURS hiking starts at Upper Farms (1000m) to the forest to Hut One(1840m) from here to the Savanna Hut(2340m) to Hut Two(2870m) night is spent . Next Day the hiking to Hut Three (3770m) and then to the Summit(4090m) then descend back to Buea Town following same track.

Tour Intro:

-At old BICEC bank(900m) there is the South West Governors Office and next to it is the Old Prime Ministers lodge built by the German colonial Governor Von Puttkermer around 1910,it host 72 rooms and is one of the most impressive and iconic in Cameroon
About 50 meters from Old BICEC is the Otto Von Bismarck fountain, a gendarmerie and army barracks
- .From the area of ranching we enter the forest zone (1200m) were there is the farming of coco yam which is the staple food of the local Bakweri people, while in the forest you come across many species of trees, birds, inserts, animals, what will pick your attraction here will be the presence of many giant trees along the track to hut One
-At Hut One (1840m) there is a natural spring water
-From hut One to the Savanna (2000m) and the savanna hut (2270m) you have a beautiful view of Buea Town and,Limbe city (Town of Friendship) , small view of Douala the Economic capital and part of the equatorial guinea islands, great view of the Atlantic Ocean
from the savanna to the summit the vegetation and climate changes as you notice few trees more of grass
Hut one to savanna hut takes 45mins to 2hours and is between 1.5-2km
- savanna hut to hut two is the most difficult part of the mountain as the steepest and rockiest part
-At (3770m)we are at hut three were the crater of the may 2000 eruption is located, The track from hut three to the summit 4090m the track is mainly sand

Bimbia Slave Trade Village (Limbe ,Cameroon) Jospeh Merrick a son of former slave in Jamaica became Baptist missionary who, assisted by Joseph Jackson Fuller, established the first successful mission on the Cameroon coast of Africa. In these years freed slaves from Jamaica had pushed the Baptist church for “an evangelical mission to return to the African homeland. Merrick translated parts of the New Testament into the Isubu language, set up a brick-making machine and a printing press, and used the latter to publish his Bible translation and a textbook for teaching in Isubu. Merrick and Fuller’s efforts paved the way for Alfred Saker A monument of Joseph Merrick is found in “Camp Saker” in Bonabile.
