I felt out hilarity, excitement, the beauty of Chunjie(Chinese lunar new year) again in this Chunjie holiday.
Chunjie is also known as Spring Festival in English.
It is a holiday of several days that people in China do not work and have a family union.
People greet each other and wish a prosperous new year. So, people should not stay in their room. They go out and have serial social activities, like visiting and greeting, worship in religious places, and consuming in restaurants and markets, recreational places.
Society should be full of liveliness. It is the most dynamic time in a year in China.
From Jan. 2020, as soon as Covid-19 exploded, lockdowns have been implemented. No dynamic social activities in 2020 and 2021 when Chunjie was coming.
In Beijing, we could not have a flourishing Chunjie in 2020 and 2022.
I happened to feel the beauty, hilarity, excitement of Chunjie in this place during the 2022 Chunjie holiday.
We have decoration illuminations as one of the traditions of Chunjie.
People come and enjoy illumination here and form crowds. Such crowds are an important part of Chunjie. We get hilarious and excitement from crowds in Chunjie. Usually, people try to make crowds by activities of shows or illumination.
Crowds of hilarious people are meaningful and important in Chunjie.
I insist on we had no real Chunjie in 2020 and 2021. Because we did not have happy crowds. Now, I am seeing them under the light of the traditional illumination of Chunjie. I feel we are having a real Chinese Chunjie now.
Thanks to people who made these illuminations and government officials who do not keep strict restrictions on such crowds in Spring festival Chunjie.
