At Destination China we couldn’t agree more with Stuart Bailey. The Governments zero-tolerance policy with no other plan in place is a death knell for HKG as an international hub for meetings and events. If we wait for a 70% vaccination rate among the local population, at least 70% of businesses in MICE will close down. We have a good medical system. A strong track and trace system and a population that sensibly wears masks and generally adheres to social distancing. Experts were consulted and this environmental project was set in motion to pre-emptively counter any potential harm to the local flora and fauna that building the Olympic site would have. It's great to know that extensive care is going into the next Winter Games, not just for the athletes and the spectators but for the environment as well!
