Since 2004 ACIC has successfully brought more than 50 Australian & New Zealand students to China to undergo international practicum by way of our Study Abroad (Internship) Program - SA(I)P.

Demand for English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers in China far exceeds supply and hence Chinese schools - from kindergarten through to even university - are awash with unqualified ESL "teachers". Such "teachers" are qualified only by their luck of the draw in having English as their native language.

Our Education-majored interns then, are a welcome relief for our Chinese partner schools - possessing not only English as their native language, but a depth of understanding & experience when it comes to teaching that is otherwise hard to come by.
