If your country is not on the list of visa-free countries, how can you enter China without a visa?
You can take advantage of the newly released 240-hour transit visa exemption. For example, you can follow this route: From the US - (visit Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou within 10 days) - go to Hong Kong - and then back to the US.

Since Dec. 17, 2024, China's transit visa-free policy got a major upgrade. The stay period for transit travelers is extended from 72/144 hours to 240 hours (10 days). New entry/exit ports are added, and the activity area is enlarged.
