Tibet Travel Guide (TTG) is a newly established, 100% locally owned and locally run Tibetan Tour Company based in Lhasa. With over eight years’ experience in the tourism industry, our management understands the importance of providing visitors with authentic experiences that can simultaneously benefit local people and economies. In helping visitors to establish genuine connections with local peop

le and places, we aim to provide highly personal, unforgettable trips. Though the Tibetan Tourism Industry is highly competitive, we only wish to compete against our own selves, striving to provide each guest with a wholly unique, and memorable experience of our beautiful home; the roof of the world. OUR MOTTO: ‘SERVE LOCAL’
In accordance with our motto, ‘serve local’, we preferentially employee people who do not, for reasons of education or opportunity, have stable, government jobs (the main source of employment in China). We hire local guides, local drivers, and local experts to ensure that the profits of international and domestic tourism end up in the hands of those who have tended to and shaped this land for thousands of years. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE ‘LOCAL’?
‘Local’ means that the stories and voices we will share with you are our own; that the eyes we lend you to see our world with are our own. From our drivers and guides, all the way to our company’s internal management, TTG’s staff is 100% Tibetan. Because we are locally staffed, we can guarantee a rich depth of real life experience in terms of Tibetan culture, spirituality, and the history of the natural landscape.
