One of the wonders is the Potala Palace. located at Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China at an elevation of 3,700 meters. The name Potala came from Sanskrit. Meaning the land of compassion Buddha Avalokiteshvara, also known as Boddhisatva Chenrezig in Tibetan.

I have taken this short video of snow mountains on a flight from Lhasa to Chengdu a few days ago. It was a spectacular view of Himalayas. The flight journey was 2 hours and traveling with Air China was very comfortable. They are few flight agencies but the Air China is the best as flight is larger, less noise and more comfortable with my experience.

2020 TIBET TRAVEL UPDATES FROM TIBET TRAVELERS

During the year 2019 Tibet travel season has started in March, the best season to see the Peach flower festival in Nyingchi Kongpo prefecture towards East Tibet.

Tibet travel permit situation is getting better every year and also Tibet travel permit rules and regulations change quite often so today's article Tibet Travelers would like to share the Tibet travel permit situation for the year 2020.

The few updates for the year 2020 from Tibet Travelers

Tibet travel permit regulation remains almost the same as last year with booking the tour a month in advance to issue the Tibet travel permit. For Travelers with short time planning, please contact us at least 17 days before traveling to Tibet so we will have the Tibet travel permit on time.
China visa is the main necessary documents required to obtain the Tibet travel permit. Travelers traveling to Tibet from China can get a China visa from the China Embassy in your home country. Singapore Travelers will have 15 days free visa in China and Tibet. If Travelers plans to visit Tibet from Nepal, Tibet Travelers will take care of the China Tibet group visa. The group visa from Nepal will take three full working days. The cost is 200 US dollars for US and Canadian nationals and 110 US dollars for other nationals including the 25 US Dollar service fee of our Nepal friend agency.

Mount Kailash is once known as the center of our world. I was there 5 times during the year 2005 and after nearly 15 years I have traveled again to have my 6th kora around Mount Kailash 52km. MY 2019 MOUNT KAILASH TRIP

It has been nearly 15 years since I was at Mount Kailash during the year 2005 as a Tour Guide.

To find out travel update changes around Mount Kailash and also to get the blessings from the precious mountain Kailash so, during mid-September of the year 2019, I have started my journey to Mount Kailash.

I want to say that it was the best trip of my recent years.
Detail of my 2019 Journey to the Mount Kailash ( September 23rd ) Lhasa - Shigatse - Lhatse - Namring - Saga
My friends and I have started the journey in the morning on the 23rd of September year 2019, from Lhasa.
We travel quite fast this time; we have driven from Lhasa to Saga in one day. I would recommend Travelers to go slower since it is quite a lot of hours in the vehicle and also the altitude changes from 3700 meters to nearly 4400 meters.

We have driven 280km from Lhasa to Shigatse via the northern friendship highway passing few towns like Choshul, Nyemo, Rinpung, and Tadruka. From Shigatse airport, there is a highway to Shigatse with a driving duration of 40km.
From Shigatse, we traveled 150km to Lhatse town for lunch. We will pass by Namring town with two beautiful lakes on the way to Saga town.

We arrived quite late at the Saga town. The first checkpoint town towards Mount Kailash. Saga town has become much more extensive, with many good hotels and restaurants. ( September 24th ) Saga - Drongpa - Paryang - Mayumla Pass - Lake Manasarovar - Darchen
After breakfast, we traveled from Saga town to Darchen town via passing few above-named towns on the way.

Paryang town has become much more extensive with many good restaurants and larger shops.
We did the vehicle kora around Lake Manasarovar. The view of Mount Kailash from the different angles of the lakes was amazing.
