TRES CRUCES! (Ecuador).

Alex made it! 💪🙏👏👏👏

CONGRATS to Alex and his bike guide Renzo for climbing one of the most difficult passes in Ecuador: Tres Cruces.

One of the most difficult climb on earth: 72km and 4300 meters of vertical ascent, to finish at 4150 meters high ⛰️🙌🏆

Alex is about to terminate his challenge to climb the top 100 climbs in the world, according to classification, in just one year 😱
Tres Cruces is actually n°8 on this classification.

Another two climbs are to follow in Ecuador. STAY TUNED!

Mollie & Dan honeymoon bike tour stage 4: Mongui to Moniquira.

After a couple of pretty hard rides and especially before a huge one that is expecting us tomorrow, today was pretty smooth with only 80km and 500 meters of climbing, with a long descent in the end 🙌👏

We basically rode from 2900m high (Mongui) down to 1700m (Moniquira), in a sunny weather and stunning landscapes once again. ⛰️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Tomorrow will be another day, with 145km and 2700m of ascent. Wish us good luck! 🙏😃

Mollie & Dan bike tour stage 3: Paipa to Mongui.

"Maybe the best stage so far," said Daniel.

We usually tell our riders that perhaps the Laguna de Tota (Lake Tota) is amongst the most beautiful places in Colombia 🇨🇴 So Daniel is probably right 🙂

It was a hard ride, though, with 85km and 1750 meters of climbing. But really impressive landscapes, stunning roads, and great weather again - we feel blessed! 🙌

Mollie & Dan bike tour stage 2: Villa de Leyva to Paipa.

Another great ride today with Mollie and Daniel 🙌🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

87km and 1350m of climbing between the beautiful Villa de Leyva up to the hot springs place that is Paipa.

Nice weather again, slightly cold when we went through Alto de Piedra Gorda, situated at 3000m altitude, just before getting to Tunja, Boyacá's capital.

Then, a family smooth ride between Tunja and Paipa.

After a bit of relax, we enjoyed a really nice dinner on the shore of Lake Sochagota, close to the hotel. Of course, we also enjoyed a bit of wine 🍷.

Tomorrow will be another day 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🙌

A few days ago, we had the pleasure to welcome Gautam from USA for a solo ride (with one of our CANYON bikes) with our guide Jose.

Why Colombia Bike Tours?

Colombia Bike Tours was born in July 2018 when En bici por Francia SAS’ owner Yves Millière had the idea to also promote cycling trips in Colombia, where he founded his cycling tour operator, and where he has been living for more than five years now.

Initiated in 2014, En bici por Francia SAS is the sole cycling tour operator based in south america to offer cycling trips to the Tour de France, Vuelta a Espana and Giro d’Italia to south american cycling fans. After four years of great success, a new branch was added to the main tour operator in order to organizing cycling trips in Colombia: Colombia Bike Tours.

With nearly 30 years experience as a rider in Europe, and more than five years experience as the owner and manager of a cycling tour operator, Yves Millière knows about cycling and organizing cycling trips.
