Tuesday morning: meandering through coffee fields Cafetal de la Trinidad.... These are our beautiful old coffee fields that are filled with about 8000 trees: these were the only trees on the farm that survived when the coffee had to be uplifted - and grass planted in its place. Three years ago we cut these trees right back down to their stump so that the new shoots and - later trees - would become filled with delicious and ‘young’ tasting coffee berries - ie full of sugar and flavor. Second harvests are always better than the first in both quality and yield. We cannot wait for round 2 in a few weeks time 👊👊👊.
