At Discover Cartagena by Locals, we are firmly committed to sustainability. Over a year ago, we joined the Acotur community , the Colombian Association of Responsible Tourism, and we are pleased to share the exciting news that we have initiated the certification process for sustainability requirements for tourism agencies NTS – TS 003, in addition to implementing our Quality Management System model based on ISO 9001:2015.

Our primary mission is to offer tourist services that generate significant benefits for society, local communities, and the environment. We aspire to help position Cartagena as a sustainable vacation destination and to continue growing alongside the local residents.

El 31 de agosto y 1 de septiembre, tuvimos el privilegio de participar en el 24º Congreso de Agencias de Turismo en la hermosa Isla de San Andrés. Nuestra empresa siempre se esfuerza por mantenerse a la vanguardia en los temas más relevantes del sector, y eventos como este nos brindan la oportunidad de fortalecer nuestras relaciones dentro de la industria y aprender de nuestros colegas.

Este congreso fue un verdadero hito, con destacados panelistas internacionales que compartieron sus valiosos conocimientos sobre la creación de estrategias para el crecimiento de nuestras agencias, haciéndolas destacar en el mercado.

Entre los distinguidos ponentes, tuvimos el honor de contar con la presencia del Ministro de Comercio, Industria y Turismo y Viceministro de Transporte

Algunos de los panelistas que dejaron una impresión duradera incluyen:

David Hernández Pumarega, Co-fundador de Pangea, la agencia con los metros cuadrados más grandes del mundo, quien nos cautivó con su fascinante charla sobre el futuro de las agencias de viajes.

Daniel Marote, que nos habló de la importancia de los y cómo la experiencia del cliente se ha convertido en una obligación, no una opción.

Julián Guerrero, ex Viceministro de Comercio, Industria y Turismo, nos inspiró con su discurso sobre cómo transformar a las personas y al planeta a través del turismo de naturaleza regenerativa en Colombia.

Juan Lombana, uno de los mejores expertos en marketing digital del mundo y autor del libro de marketing más vendido en Amazon, nos entusiasmó con sus consejos sobre cómo aprovechar al máximo el potencial de Google y el marketing digital.

Finalmente, cerramos este memorable evento con Millán Ludeña, el speaker motivacional más influyente de Ecuador quién nos demostró que incluso las personas comunes pueden lograr hazañas extraordinarias.

Después de esta enriquecedora experiencia, volvemos cargados de conocimiento y renovada determinación para continuar promoviendo nuestra ciudad y nuestro país como el destino de ensueño para todos los viajeros.

Few weeks ago, our guest Marti and her friend visited Cartagena. They were able to visit the "tienda" and ask for a "Fiao" to cook with a local mom.
