g time for this shore excursion! It is just a short taxi ride from your Cartagena cruise ship terminal to the dive center. Your friendly, English speaking divemaster/instructor will be waiting for you. After you get checked in with your shore excursion reservation, your fun beginner diving experience begins. The first portion of the discover SCUBA diving cruise excursion is a classroom, theories session. Your instructor will show you all of the gear, show you how to use it and the basic concepts behind diving and breathing underwater. They will go over the plan for your dives and then assist you aboard the dive boat. Your first dive site is not far and on the way there your dive excursion instructor will help you on with the equipment. When the boat arrives, the PADI trained divemaster will help you into the water. The first dive is to get you used to the equipment with your dive instructor beside you. The maximum depth you will go is 30ft for about 40 minutes (actual "bottom" time length depends on your air usage). The guide will assist you back to the boat. As the boat makes its way to the second site, you can relax and enjoy the ride. At the second dive site, your diving excursion guide will help you into the water and be by your side. You will get to explore the underwater marine life of Cartagena just like a real SCUBA diver! Your second dive is also approximately 40 minutes at 30ft depth. When both dives have been completed, you will have a good idea of what SCUBA diving is all about.
