Everyone heard the latest news? Mamallena will soon be opening our 4th location. This time we'll be doing a an Eco Lodge in the hills out side of San Carlos, around an hour from Panama City. Its a great location, half an hours drive from the beach and a few minutes from the beautiful San Carlos lake. Theres hours of hiking in the hills around the lodge and feel free to pick your own fruit from the surrounding fruit trees. Theres also a river perfectly suitable for swimming. opening day should be next week so we'll let you know.

The Mamallena Playa Blanca shuttle leaves from Hostel Mamallena everyday at 9am and 1pm and from Playa Blanca at 11am and 3pm for just 50 000 pesos. The trip is only 1 hour and the most confortable ride you'll find to the beach.

If you're looking to go to the beautiful Playa Blanca then we offer Cartagena's only direct air conditioned shuttle direct to the beach. We leave from Hostel Mamallena each morning at 9am(8am Sundays) and it only takes around an hour to be on the beach. The cost is a low 35 000 pesos and you can come back any day you like for 15 000 pesos, either on a boat in the afternoon or with the shuttle each morning. Contact us now for more information.
