The volcano is located about 45km from Cartagena and you can go on group or private excursions. We only recommend the private one, since the place where you get into the mud is only about 9 square meters, which is the tumult of people does not bother you, you can take a group tour; but we recommend that you make it private, and you can choose the hours when there are no people taking this mud bath, and you can enjoy it better.

Cartagena was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 thanks to its 17th century architecture and its complex of fortifications such as the 4 km wall around the city, the San Felipe de Barajas fort (which is the largest fort in the Caribbean), the Los Fuertes de Bocachica, the Pastelillo Fort (San Sebastian), the Manzanillo Fort, and the underwater wall that was built to prevent the passage of boats through Boca Grande. Which makes Cartagena the largest defense complex in the entire Caribbean that few pirates were able to enter and take over the city.

The fortifications and monuments in Cartagena are also desirable to take photos as souvenirs, such as the clock tower, the sentry boxes that are in the walls, the churches, the cathedral, the Plaza de Bolívar and many more that are the epicenter of visitors and places to have a good memory of Cartagena.
