In a recent newsletter of our partner , one of our itineraries was mentioned! In this brand-new itinerary we invite travellers to go through a restoration project with mangroves in Ciénaga Grande, Santa Marta, Colombia. Mangroves not only store carbon dioxide, but also help help prevent coastal erosion and ensure water quality as mentioned in the message. For the rest of the trip, travellers go sailing with a project dedicated to cleaning Santa Marta's beaches of plastic and rubbish before visiting an indigenous-led community project in Parque Tayrona.

Immerse yourself slowly into the journey...
In essence, slow travel is a travel philosophy and approach about embracing the present moment, cherishing the journey as much as the destination, and discovering the beauty of a place at a human pace. It’s an approach that can lead to more meaningful, enriching, and transformative travel experiences.

It emphasizes quality over quantity and meaningful connections over superficial sightseeing.

In the heart of Colombia, Ciudad Perdida taught us that in the age of speed, sometimes, it's the slowest journeys that reveal the richest stories.

This place whispered a different kind of narrative. Here, the concept of “slow travel” unfolded like a well-woven story, one that unfurled with every step taken along its ancient paths.

The hike to Ciudad Perdida was no mere trek; it was a pilgrimage through time itself. Each day brought a new chapter, a new discovery. And time seemed to stretch, allowing you to savor each moment.

You'd encounter indigenous tribes and can learn from their traditions and stories breathing life into the history-rich landscape.
