I want to help you create a happy and healthy living and working environment, via art, a sanctuary which allows you to be at one with your inner self. Each one of us is truly unique and to feel ‘sanctuary’ within ourselves is a beautiful and powerful thing.

This week I am launching my new collection 'Endless Spring'. The name for the series was inspired by the classic surf movie 'Endless Summer', and each print has been named after a world class tropical surf destination.

My 'Endless Spring' series encapsulates the essence of the season, fresh beginnings, dreamy days, and the promise of new adventures. As we emerge from a dark winter, spring beckons with its enchantment and surprise, offering a welcome breath of fresh air.

I have used the palm tree as the vehicle once more, to communicate the feeling of happiness. In Feng Shui, palm trees help keep one's wealth, bringing joy , hope , good luck to the owner.

In this collection, I've used pastels as the colour palette as they communicate positivity, feelings of femininity, playfulness, and freshness.

Printed on Hahnemühle William Turner paper, a traditional mould-made watercolour paper. The white cotton paper is characterised by its unique tactile feel and surface texture.

I talk about my experience working with the indigenous women from the Arhuaco group. How long it took me to develop my relationships with the women, our trust and authenticity, and my life changing experiences with them.

If it wasn’t for the Arhuacas having faith in my ability to photograph them, I would not be where I am today.

I truly thank the women for giving me my confidence and helping me fulfil my dream. And I hope my work impacts them all in a positive way. Let me know what you think of the interview!

Excited to represent Colombia as photographer for my work Dream Weaver.
Taken over the space of 9 years, the body of work titled, ‘Dream Weaver’, presents the quotidian, silent, simple, often overlooked aspects of life. In an age of uncertainty, it’s often the little things that remind us of being human that matter more.

Descendents of the Tairona, an ancient South American civilization, indigenous group, the Arhuacos, reside in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The Arhuaco have developed an understanding of the earth which gives equal measure to the human mind and spirit and the forces of nature. The Sierra Nevada is a microcosm of earth: A seamless gradient of life that changes with each upward step.
Because of this unique feature, it is known as the ‘Heart of the World’ to the indigenous communities who inhabit the mountains and valleys. The Arhuaco say that when the world was created, they emerged from this very spot. They call it the Mother.

I use the quiet and quotidian nuances in life to present an intimate picture. Looking at the smaller, seemingly insignificant or unnoticed things, makes us appreciate the complex and delicate moments of everyday life.

I communicate the hidden connection between reality and dreams; a consideration of the beginning, middle and end. Everyday rituals which are continuously passed down over generations, the habits, traditions, are the outcome of wisdom and thoughts that help people and communities survive. We often overlook the small and unseen in favour of the big and dominant.

La ceiba. The drawbridge between heaven and earth…

Mayans thought the Ceiba tree to be sacred. It is believed that the souls of the dead ascend to the top of the trees to go to heaven.

A connection between worlds, the ceiba unites underworld, earth and heaven.
