Hello friends,
we are appealing for donations in support of Venezuelan refugees caught in a humanitarian crisis, currently considered ‘the worst modern day refugee crisis in the world’, one that isn’t talked about or supported internationally.
However together we can help.

We are appealling for donations to directly support 1st hand, some of the many thousand Venezuelan refugees who, because of the pandemic have once again lost their homes and livelihoods, this time in neighboring South American countries.
Having previously fled Venezuela, due to its economic collapse, they again find themselves abandoned and alone, but this time in foreign land.
With the pandemic worsening in South America, many are unable to work, and now are left with no choice but to return to Venezuela, and leave behind there newly adopted countries and livelihoods.
Heartbreakingly the cruelty of the pandemic means a strict lockdown in most South American countries, where travel restrictions are very strict, meaning there are no public nor private travel options for returning Venezuelans.
So they are left with no choice but to return to Venezuela with all their families and all of their belongings on foot.
Most are coming from Bogotá which is an unthinkable 600km migration on foot. Many however are coming from even further, Ecuador, Peru and even Chili and Argentina before reaching Colombia, which borders with Venezuela.
Jakera Colombia is located 300km from the Venezuelan border, from here they still have to cross a dangerous 40 degree desert canyon and a freezing 4000m mountain peak. Worse still it is the rainy season, making the journey even more hazardous.
With your donation money, we are making survival kits and handing them out to families and individuals making this treacherous and dangerous journey. Equipping then with food and survival gear, such as shelter and basic hygiene essentials. We are also collecting and handing out second hand clothing and foot wear.
The situation of returning Venezuelans is likely to continue for many more months if not longer.

Each bag costs approximately $20-$30 and provides a huge moral boost and life saving supplies and nutrition for those needed people.
We thank you for reading and if you are able to donate then please do.
