La via del Magdalena Medio (4 days)

Discover the beauties of Eastern Antioquia on a private tour, nothing like you have ever seen before. The places we will visit are off the beaten paths and havent’ seen a surge in tourism like other parts of Colombia.

On the first day I will come and pick you up at your hotel in Medellin at 8 :00 AM and bring you to San Rafael where we will jump in the famous and gorgeous waterfall « Cascada del Indio ». After the homemade lunch we will jump on a horse a discover the natural gems of the area. The night will be spent in a typical finca antioqueña where we will have dinner.

On the second day we will head to Puerto Garza, there we will first discover the hidden waterfall « God’s Little Garden » before hoping on a small boat to explore the Samana River. You will really feel like diving deep in the jungle. The night will be spent in a secluded hotel only accessible by boat.

On the third day we will reach the Magdalena River, the biggest and most important river of Colombia flowing from the southern moutains to Northern Baranquilla. We will cross the famous river several times, on a ferry and on bridges. In the afternoon you will be able to chose bewteen the Danta Natural Park (4 waterfalls all accessible walking) or the Hacienda Napoles (the biggest property of the infamous Pablo Escobar). The night will be spent in a comfortable hotel of the area where all rooms are AC equipped.

On the fourth and final day we will head to San Francisco, a hidden moutain paradise, to discover Margarita’s cacao farm. Collect the seeds and make your own cacao paste all while discovering the history of the village and its violence ridden past, counted by a local. After the lunch at Margarita´s we will jump one last time in water before heading back to Medellin.

The pack includes :

The pack has a cost of 4 000 000 COP(+- 1000$) for 2 persons. The price for 3 people is 5 500 000 COP (+- 1350$) and for 4 people 7 000 000 COP (+-1700$). Up to 4 people MAX.
