Going from the heat of the city of Santa Marta, which is about 37°C, to a cold climate like that of Bogotá, about 10°C or less, is possible, without leaving the Caribbean Coast.
Cerro Kennedy Panku is a mountain formation located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, with an altitude of 3,100 meters above sea level. It is covered in fog and is home to hundreds of endemic, common and migratory birds.
Cerro Kennedy allows you to contemplate an extraordinary panorama: on the one hand, to the west, the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta. Towards the east and in good weather, you can see the sacred snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, among which are the two highest, Simón Bolívar and Cristóbal Colón (5,775m).
