Pequeño, muy bonito y escurridizo. El , mejor conocido como suele encontrarse en habitad alterados como pasturas y áreas de ganadería. Existen poblaciones residentes e individuos migratorios. La he observado en , Ceiba y en Bijagua de Upala.
Esta especie de pinzón dependiendo del área en la que se encuentre suele cooperar y responder muy bien al estímulo sonoro, de esta manera se logran fotos muy lindas.

Predictable pictures are the hardest part of the birding-photography. Indeed, if you think about waiting and holding your camera for the perfect photo, it’s not that easy. But sometimes it can turn into something else, “the shoot”.
This dark-morph White-tailed Hawk was so cooperative with us.
