Come visit Nuevo Arenal, on the north side of Lake Arenal, beautiful town with some activities in the area or you can just drive to La Fortuna, Rio Celeste from our place, it is just an hour away. As you can see on the map some areas of Costa Rica are being hit really hard by the rains. Where we are located we are only getting our average rain for this time of the year, perhaps a little bit lucky. Might rain all day (drizzle) but not strong rains. Stay safe out there. This shall pass.

Liberia Airport flights in and out cancelled starting 6am today till the repairs on the runway and done. Not sure how long it would be they do not day on the oficial notice.

Today, we had the pleasure of visiting the Choyin Rio Termal, located just across from Tabacon. It’s an amazing place with a wonderful space created for everyone to enjoy. The parking was convenient and the customer service was excellent. The facilities, including bathrooms, showers, and lockers, were clean and spacious, with towels and lockers included in the price.

If you purchase a meal at the ticket booth, it includes a drink and dessert for just $10—an incredible deal for such amazing food. The site features one large pool and the natural Tabacon River flowing through the property. Since it's the slow season right now, it wasn't crowded at all. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend it to our guests.

Choyin is owned by Tabacon Resort, ensuring affordability without sacrificing attention to detail or quality of service.

Today was the amazing art show of Arenal, lots of artists from all over. Thank you Artes Arenal for making possible such event. We are proud sponsors. But also took advantage and acquire a couple of pieces that will be decorating our bed and breakfast for future guest to enjoy. The Cow/Vaca and the hanging Flor the Itabo were the two pieces we bought. The frog was raffle price.

Thank you to all the artist that participated. Look forward to the 2025 edition.

I scored a cutting that had fallen from a huge plant at a restaurant yesterday (I did ask if I can pick up the cutting and was given a big yes) came home made a growing pole, plant it and this morning it looks very happy. A big leaf money plant. Beautiful isn’t it!
