Weather patterns are changing worldwide and we have not been the exception the last couple of months has been very wet, so much that our beautiful Lake Arenal is a maximum capacity, personally we haven’t experience it in over 30 years. December 2024 brought us 28.87” (783.3mm) and January of 2025 brought us 28.17” (715.5mm) both record breaking amounts of rain for those months in our own personal database. Let’s hope February is much drier. We love it as we chose to live in the rainforest, but it is not so much fun for tourists that wants better days to explore and enjoy our area.
