The Mangroves are the perfect habitat for monkeys. There are lots of places to hang, swing, jump and hide, as well as lots of food! They eat a wide variety of food in the mangroves including mangrove flowers and seeds, crabs, iguanas, insects, and coconuts and so much more.

We are constantly picking up garbage. Every tour. Sometimes it’s a lot of garbage (see kayak photo). Sometimes it is just a few bottles.

Some of this garbage has floated over from Asia. All the way across the Pacific.
Some comes from up river, out the to the river mouth.

It’s sad. But we will keep trying to keep our beaches and rivers clean.

Who else goes crazy over drift seeds, sea hearts, hamburger beans, sea purses, nickernuts, emojis (baby coconuts), etc, like we do?
We love these seeds, most that come from the jungle, down the rivers and into the sea…to start colonies elsewhere.
Hence the name Drift Seeds!

Note: all baby coconuts create an emoji face. 😮 How funny!
