So much potential!
This is a review from a mother who just left a few days ago after having spent a week here with her husband and daughter. One of the lucky things for us when a family has the property to themselves is that we have the privilege to spend more time with them over sunset cocktails and morning coffee than we would if we were hosting multiple guests. And as always, as we are standing in the rancho seeing them off to their next destination or airport, we are not saying goodbye to guests but fortunately, "hasta luego" to new friends. We cannot wait to see all of you again either here or on our own travels! Pura Vida!

Thank you Zene and Henner for an unforgettable trip!! Cristal Azul far surpassed any of our expectations. Getting there is half the adventure and once you arrive you will be mesmerized by the views, sounds and peaceful setting. Nestled on a lush mountain, overlooking the most stunning views of Playa San Miguel, Cristal Azul felt like our very own private home for a week. I highly recommend visiting during the "rainy" season. Everything was lush and in full bloom, butterflies were everywhere and the only rain we had were a few evening storms that passed quickly but were stunning to watch from the Rancho. The temperatures during our stay were perfect. The food was far more superb than any 5-star resort. Be sure to eat at Locos Cocos, Henner's place on the beach and have his famous ceviche, it truly is the best!! His fish tacos were delicious as well. The staff were gracious and lovely. Zene & Henner are fantastic hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them so very much. We traveled with our 8 year old daughter who loved the beautiful pool, resident doggies, the Rancho's pool table and many games, as well as, the monkey's that said hi each day. I really can not say enough good things about this hidden gem. Our stay here will go down as one of our most favorite of all time and we will most certainly return!!
