Whew. It’s been a bit since I’ve posted!

We have been crazy busy building dream vacations for my travelers to Costa Rica. High season is starting to come to an end. Since January, I have planned over 100 trips for clients who have or will experience the magic of Costa Rica!

Did you know my favorite time of year to travel to Costa Rica is actually the lower “green season”?

It’s so beautiful and it saves some money too!

Green season, otherwise known as rainy season, doesn’t mean it rains all day, everyday. We definitely can go days without rain in the green season. It just means rain is a bit more likely in certain regions of Costa Rica.

It’s been a month now since I started working for a boutique travel company based here in Costa Rica called Dive the Americas.

Two amazing women, whom I am proud to call friends, took a chance on me when I was looking for a new travel company home.

Melanie, Kathleen and I worked together at the last agency I represented and I was so inspired by their departure to build a company full of passion and integrity in 2022.

I might be a Costa Rica travel consultant but before anything and above everything, I am a mom.

This amazing kid of mine will be 14 tomorrow and today is US Mother’s Day. What a perfect day to celebrate!

We moved to this beautiful country full time almost 3 years ago. Just him and I and our two dogs.

He is my travel buddy, my muse, my partner is crime. He is my everything.

I know I have planned so many trips for families. Hundreds of them. So often in the planning phase of the trip, I hear mom say “I just want this vacation to be perfect for my kid(s)”.

I’m forever grateful that I get to be that person to plan the perfect trip.

And today I celebrate every mom, mother figure, and every parent who gives it their best everyday.

Hi everyone!

I’m Vanessa with Costa Rican Vacations! Welcome to my page!

I’m taking a moment to introduce myself.

I live on the central pacific coast of Costa Rica in Playa Hermosa, Jaco.

I started traveling to Costa Rica in September of 2004 and knew I would call this country home someday! I fell in love with the people, the nature, the wildlife, the beauty, and the culture.

I purchased a house here in 2016 and started planning vacations for friends and family, sharing my passion for Costa Rica. I wanted everyone to experience the magic that this country holds.

Now, I live here full time with my teenage son and our two corgis. I work full time as a specialized travel consultant, creating customized trips for my clients through Costa Rican Vacations agency. Since starting with this company in 2021, I have planned well over 550 vacations for my clients!

I’ll be sharing my adventures in Costa Rica on this page, as well as Costa Rica travel tips.

Who wants to eat in a glass treehouse in Monteverde. Costa Rica?? This was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had dining in Costa Rica and one that I recommend to my travelers!
