Tortuga Surf School ISA & Lifeguard Certified instructors excel in teaching the finest surfing techniques. We are trained in keeping the experience safe, fun and most of all exhilarating! All students are welcome from beginning to advanced levels. We handle all ages from 4 year old tykes to golden age 80 year olds! First timers are always under supervision and handled with the utmost care. They are instructed in water safety, surfboard handling, paddling out, popping up and riding waves in their first class. There are many more classes available as a surfer becomes more advanced. You can take as many as you like in private or in groups. Some of the advanced classes include Reading the Ocean, Catching a Wave, Beginner Tricks, and others involving more surfing fundamentals. If you are already surfing and want to improve your skill or learn to tackle larger surf, come on down!! We have the ultimate local spots in the Central Pacific area and other places in Costa Rica for the more experienced surfer to work on. Our guidance and coaching will of course bring you to another level as a surfer. This is not your regular surf camp or the 5 start hotel experience this is a local camp run by locals who take pride on their love for the ocean, the nature and their country!
