Ovielas Horseback Ride

We offer a horseback riding on a private estate of 563 hectares belonging to the son of former President Francisco Jose Orlich, located 2km south of the Catholic Church of La Fortuna, where the Arenal Mundo Aventura Ecological Park project is also developed. In the total length of 8 km we ride in the middle of the tropical rainforest of Costa Rica, with the possibility to observe many wild animals

and birds. Description Tour
After respective registration, the horses will be ready for us. To refine details of comfort to ride, bilingual guide starts introductory talk on the route and directions on how to maneuver the horse, which are trained, very tame and accustomed to contact with people. The first run 4km, is carried out on the farm to the viewpoint of the Pino Blanco waterfall, which is 80 meters high and one can appreciate its incredible beauty from that point. We see the Fortuna River, the forest and the Arenal Volcano. In the viewpoint, we will leave the horses to begin trekking to the waterfall of La Fortuna, along a path about 500 meters long and that also has a suspension bridge, which we will cross to achieve to be just 200 meters from the natural pool of the La Fortuna waterfall. You can swim, take pictures, relax with the thrilling sound of falling water or simply admire so majestic natural wonder. Once we got back to the viewpoint Pino Blanco, we share a small snack to regain strength after exercise made to walk the path to the waterfall. We go back to the horse and this time back for a different area, across mountain pastures and to visit the Maleku Indians. There receive a little chat about their culture and traditions. Also we know their craft and test their traditional drink: Chicha. Before ending the tour, visiters will have the opportunity to visit the frog farm and butterfly farm located in a natural sanctuary on the property. Frogs as the "red-eye" (Agalychnis callidryas) or the Morpho butterfly may be appreciated. The transportation will be waiting at reception to return to the respective hotel.
