Start of the second Arribada of August, 2022

Yesterday, the phenomenon of massive nesting of Kemp's ridley turtles, a phenomenon known as Arribada, began on Ostional beach.

During the arrivals, Ostional beach has restricted access, so to visit the Refuge, it is necessary to coordinate a reservation with the Accredited Community Guides of Ostional, BEFORE arriving in the community. We share the contacts of the guides, so that they coordinate the reservation.

We appreciate abiding by this provision since visitors who arrive without a reservation will not be served.

The opening hours of the beach are from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm.

The maximum group size allowed is 10 people including the guide and minors.

Surfing is not allowed.
