Manzanillo is a small beach village where the pace of life slows down and you can spend a relaxed vacation away from the crowds while enjoying the seclusion and scenery of a dramatically beautiful coastline. Despite its small size you find very good restaurants in Manzanillo and neighboring Playa Hermosa which specialize in fresh seafood. You can also buy fresh seafood in front of Villas Orishas where the local fishermen sell their catch most days in the early morning. The spectacular sunsets are made even more picturesque as the fisherman head out each evening in their small fishing boats. There is a lovely area on the beach for guests we created from the local natural woods where you can picnic and relax in hammocks. We can also rent you snorkeling equipment for exploring the large tide pool in front of our houses, or ocean kayaks for an excursion along the coastline. About a 1km walk down the beach brings you to a creek where fresh water meets the ocean at high tide. Here you can swim, watch the wildlife and it is also a perfect spot for SUP (stand up paddle boarding), which can be organized with a local instructor. If you feel like a little more nightlife you can head over to Hermosa or Santa Teresa, where you can find a great selection of shops and restaurants catering to all tastes and budgets, bars, live and electronic music.
