Today we commemorate 200 years of the voluntary decision made by the people of Nicoya to join Costa Rica on July 25, 1824.

The Jabiru is the tallest bird in Costa Rica on average is 4 ft and 8 ft with open wings. His stunning nest is around 6 ft. Unfortunately, the Jabiru is considered in danger of extinction. Hence, it’s estimated that in Costa Rica are less than 100 specimens most of them located in Palo Verde National Park.
