Abundant wildlife naturally surrounds the property. We can regularly hear howler monkeys; there are many varieties of birds, lizards, and exotic frogs. Toucans and white faced monkeys frequently are seen on the property. Recently remodeled and
updated, Casa de Oro comfortably sleeps 8 persons. 2 Master bedrooms with king size beds and en suite baths are perfect for couples and or families on vacation. Additionally, there are 2 other bedrooms with queen size beds, which share a third bath. A comfortable loft complete with a television, DVD player and satellite TV is available for your pleasure. Step out on to the observation deck to enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the mangroves, Tres Rios River, the ocean, and Cano Island. The kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances and everything you need to prepare your favorite meals or you can master the grill while enjoying the most amazing views. The most unique feature of the property is our screened-in patio and temperature controlled pool. That means the perfect outdoor setting to enjoy family meals, play games or swim. The large driveway can accommodate at least 2 vehicles and a covered carport can accommodate another. 4WD is recommended to fully enjoy the back roads of the rain forest and all the amenities it has to offer. There is an electronic gate to the property for added privacy. Wi-Fi is available to keep you connected to the real world; however, you may just want to sit back and enjoy the abundance of nature the Southern Zone has to offer. Casa de Oro is conveniently located in the private village of Tres Rios. It’s an easy 8 minute drive from the main highway to our property. The entrance to Tres Rios is 5 minutes south of Ojochal along the main highway. You get the best of both worlds, the privacy of the property with the convenience of Ojochal and its amenities. Some of the world’s best beaches are a short distance from the house, Playa Tortuga, Playa Ventanas and Playa Uvita just to name a few. There’s a different beach for each day of your stay if you please. Shopping is plentiful in the villages of Dominical (30 minutes from the property), Uvita (20 minutes) and Palma Norte (30 minutes to the south). These villages offer grocery, pharmacy and souvenir shopping as well as restaurants (some are right on the beach). There are farmers markets, local artisans and, during certain times of the year, there are festivals and surfing competitions. For adventure seekers, there is zip lining, hiking to spectacular waterfalls with swimming, kayaking, ATV tours and horseback riding. Surfing lessons are available in Uvita and Dominical, or you can just rent a board if you’re really adventurous. After you’re done surfing, enjoy a massage on the beach with a fresh fruit treat. Tours to Cano Island for some of the best scuba and snorkeling in Costa Rica are available, as well as some of the world’s best sport fishing. For the family, there are wildlife preserves and parks, whale watching and the Borucan village. The Borucans are one of 8 indigenous groups of Costa Rica and support themselves by selling authentic handmade crafts.
