While away from the noisy downtown, it is only five minutes away from three large supermarkets, a pharmacy, the main health clinic of the region, the largest hardware store and gas station and several restaurants and convenience stores. There are resident sloths (“perezosos”) in the trees at the backyard! Hence its name, “Villa Perezosa”. Native and migrant birds can be easily seeing close to the
house. The bi anual migrations of millions of hawks and vultures can be observed at the place or at the nearby station in the forest reserve of Kekoldi. The chalet has two large rooms, one bathroom, a kitchenette, a confortable living room, and an outside corridor where you can have your meals or coffee while enjoying nature outside or the occasional rains. The master bedroom has a king size bed and air conditioning; the adjacent bedroom is equipped with a queen and a single bed and both rooms have ceiling fans. Capacity is for five persons, two couples and one single.The house is fully equipped to prepare your own meals if you wish, with a gas stove, a refrigerator, a microwave and other appliances. All bedroom and bath supplies are provided, you only need to bring your personal items. Playa Negra, famous for its misterious black sand, is six minutes away and the other beautiful beaches south of Puerto Viejo, such as Cocles, Punta Uva, Playa Grande and Manzanillo are about fifteen to twenty five minutes away by car. Also minutes away are other attractions such as a cacao tour and waterfalls. The chalet is rented to those who want to enjoy a quiet stay in harmony with nature and the other residents in the area.
