The Manuel Antonio National Park, which located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, province of Puntarenas, is one of the principal parks for eco-tourism in the country, where many tourists visit, and fishery activities takes place in adjacent areas of the marine protected area. Although faunistic monitoring in the park are necessary for assessing impacts on the marine biodiversity caused by such human activities, ichthyofaunal surveys are scarce, with the unique conducted more than 30 years ago. Even distribution of common species and conservation status of each species, therefore, remains unclear in this park. In order to construct detailed ichthyofaunal composition based on vouchers and compare to the past study, We are currently conducting a survey of coastal fish fauna, by taking underwater photographs and collecting specimens of fishes.

If you have picture of fishes in Manuel Antonio National Park, please send me it with information of each picture (Date, time, the depth of water, latitude, longitude and habitat e.g. rock, sand and tide pool…).

Si usted tiene fotografías de peces que residan en el Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, por favor envíeme las fotografías con la información respectiva (Fecha, hora, profundidad del agua, latitude, longitude y su hábitat por ejemplo rocas o arena…).
