American crocodile (Cocrodylus acutus) seen today in Manuel Antonio National Park. A very important characteristic in the crocodile, the upper and lower jaw is almost the same size and will be able to see the lower and upper teeth when they have the jaw closed. Spectacle caiman have a lower jaw that is thinner than the upper jaw. As a result, the lower teeth are barely visible when their jaws are closed...Pura vida!!!
