Traveler pro-tip: Viator, Trip Advisor and Get Your Guide are great marketing platforms. They are really good at what they do. Unfortunately, the reality is that they take 30-40% of any bookings which sometimes makes it hard for small businesses to run tours with less than a minimum number of people. If you find a reputable tour company you like on a marketing platform, and then you book directly with a tour company (via a website), it both guarantees the tour will happen and helps out small businesses.
