🌊 Whale Watching Wonder: Lobtailing and Tail Slapping🐋 In our latest whale-watching adventure, we captured an incredible display of lobtailing, where these majestic creatures lift their massive tails out of the water and slap the surface with force. This powerful move can be done in various ways, such as belly-down (ventral) or even on their backs (dorsal) for an inverted lobtail. And when the whale uses both its tail and back portion in the movement, it’s called a peduncle slap.
