Cada 31 de agosto desde hace muchos años nuestro país se llena de miles de colores y bailan celebrando bajo la música caribeña, para conmemorar el Día de la Persona Negra y la Cultura Afrocostarricense. Lo que todo comenzó como un enfoque para el reconocimiento de los derechos, hoy también se transformó en la preservación de la maravillosa herencia de la cultura y comunidad afrodescendiente. Una celebración donde las personas, principalmente de nuestra provincia de limón, se reúnen para deleitar con sus bailes y música en desfiles, y así reforzar el gran lazo con la dicha provincia y la diversidad cultural.
